Auburn got a head start on its 2013 recruiting class Saturday when Muscle Shoals, Ala., defensive lineman Dee Liner committed to the Tigers.

The 6-foot-4, 255-pound Liner is expected to be one of the state’s top recruits when rankings for the 2013 class are released next year.
He also had an offer from Kentucky and had drawn interest from Alabama, Florida and Tennessee.
As a sophomore at Muscle Shoals High, Liner had 81 tackles, 10 tackles for a loss and two sacks.
He is Auburn’s first commitment for 2013.
