Quarterback Zeke Pike is listed as a student according to the school’s online student directory. As an early enrollee, Pike will be eligible to take part in spring practices with the team. Pike also tweeted Wednesday that he’s officially an Auburn Tiger.
Pike’s enrollment brings Auburn’s total of early enrollees to three. Lineman Shane Callahan and linebacker Javiere Mitchell enrolled earlier this week.
Pike, a 6-foot-5, 220-pound prospect from Dixie Heights High School in Crestview Hills, Kentucky, is rated a four-star prospect and the No. 5 quarterback by Rivals.com, a four-star prospect and the No. 16 quarterback by Scout.com and a three-star prospect by AuburnUndercover.com, which rates him the 14th-best pro-style quarterback in the class of 2012.
During his senior season at Dixie Heights, Pike passed for 1,964 yards with 13 touchdowns and 14 interceptions and rushed for 728 yards and 16 touchdowns. As a junior, Pike passed for 2,218 yards and 18 scores in addition to 1,072 yards and 17 touchdowns.
Pike was suspended for Dixie Heights’ first playoff game for a violation of team rules this past offseason.
