The blog has taken enough questions in the last 36 hours on Auburn’s three targets that I felt I needed to post a quick update. Nothing has really changed with any of Auburn’s remaining trio of prospects, but for some reason, there seems to be some confusion.
Jordan Diamond, a 6-6, 289-pound offensive lineman from Simeon High in Chicago, Ill., is expected to announce his decision on where he will be attending school at 8 p.m. ET tonight. Diamond will be picking from among a group of schools that includes Auburn, Arkansas, Wisconsin and Michigan.
Alex Kozan, the 6-4, 295-pound guard from Valor Christian in Colo. who was originally committed to Iowa before deciding to back out of his announcement and take more time to decide, is reportedly still mulling over Auburn, Michigan and Iowa. Plans for his decision have not been set, but Kozan reportedly will make his decision by the time the weekend is over.
And last, but certainly not least, Stefon Diggs, the five-star receiver from Our Lady of Good Counsel in Olney, Md who is rated as the nation’s second-highest receiver, plans to announce his decision Feb. 10. Along with Auburn, Diggs has Ohio State, Florida and Maryland among his final group.
For the results of Jordan Diamond’s decision, check back on the blog later tonight.
