Auburn has added its fourth commitment for the 2013 class on Saturday by getting a verbal commitment from Pinson Valley wide receiver Earnest Robinson, a four-star recruit, during Auburn’s Junior Day festivities this weekend.
Robinson, who is rated as one of the state’s top receiver prospects by the nation’s recruiting sites, joins a list of Auburn commits that has been full of high-profile players so far.
At 6-2, 200 pounds, Robinson fits the mold of the two receivers brought in with the 2012 class, JaQuay Williams and Ricardo Louis. He was slowed by injury at Pinson Valley during his junior season, but Robinson still turned 30 catches into more than 500 yards and 12 touchdowns this season in Pinson Valley’s run to the second round of the playoffs.
The recruiting sites that cover Auburn — AuburnUndercover.com, Auburnsports.com and Inside the Auburn Tigers — reported the news first.
