Cam Newton, QB, Carolina Panthers: Passed for 287 yards and two scores (25, 53 yards), while also running for 116 yards and one touchdown in Carolina’s 30-20 win over Atlanta. Newton’s 72-yard touchdown run is a career long (VIDEO: Career-Long Run for Newton to the House) and his 116 yards rushing is his first 100-yard game of his career. Newton has thrown for 3,220 yards with 16 touchdowns and rushed for 640 yards with seven scores in his second season after being drafted with the top overall pick in 2011. Newton has 58 total touchdowns in 29 career games.
Jason Campbell, QB, Chicago Bears: Completed 6-of-9 passes for 64 yards, including a 15-yard scoring strike to Brandon Marshall (VIDEO: Campbell to Marshall for the Score) in the Bears’ 21-14 loss to Minnesota. Campbell has played in six games in his sixth NFL season after being selected in the first round by Washington in 2005. He has passed for more than 14,000 yards in his career with 76 touchdowns.
King Dunlap, OT, Philadelphia Eagles: Made his ninth start overall, again this week at left tackle, in a 23-21 win over Tampa Bay. He’s played in 11 games this season with nine starts after missing two games due to a hamstring injury. Dunlap has played in 49 games in four seasons with 16 starts.
Josh Bynes, LB, Baltimore Ravens: Totaled five tackles in a 31-28 overtime loss to the Redskins on Sunday. Bynes has played in seven games and totaled 11 tackles in 2012. He has played in seven games in his two-year career as a reserve linebacker with Baltimore.
Spencer Johnson, DE, Buffalo Bills: Totaled three tackles for the first time since Week One in Sunday’s matchup with St. Louis, a 25-12 loss. Johnson has 14 tackles and two deflections this season and 298 total stops in his nine-year career.
Rob Bironas, PK, Tennessee Titans: Made three field goals and two PATs on Sunday in a 27-23 loss to the Colts. Bironas has hit 24-of-29 field goals this season. He has hit on 85.9 percent of his attempts in eight seasons.
Karlos Dansby, LB, Miami Dolphins: Totaled a season best 12 tackles (eight solo) on Sunday in a 27-13 loss to San Francisco. Has 22 tackles the last two games and 105 for the season. A nine-year veteran, Dansby has more than 850 stops in his career. He’s one of just four active NFL players with at least 30 sacks and 10 interceptions.
Quentin Groves, LB, Arizona Cardinals: Tied his season high with seven tackles and one sack, in the Cardinals’ 58-0 loss to Seattle. Groves has totaled 20 tackles in the last three games and is averaging 6.5 tackles in his four starts. He has a career-high 43 tackles (34 solo) and four sacks with one forced fumble this season.
Nick Fairley, DT, Detroit Lions: Finished Sunday’s game with four tackles, one sack and one forced fumble as Detroit fell to the Packers, 27-20. The 13th overall pick in 2011, Fairley has played in 23 games with seven starts in two seasons with the Lions. He has 34 tackles and 5.5 sacks in his sophomore season.
Ben Tate, RB, Houston Texans: Rushed for 46 yards on eight carries with a long rush of 23 yards in a 42-14 loss to New England on Monday Night Football. Tate has 242 yards rushing and two touchdowns this season for the AFC-leading Texans. For his career, the Maryland native has run for 1,184 yards and six touchdowns.
