AUBURN, Ala. – In-state running back Kamryn Pettway became Auburn’s first verbal commitment of the 2014 class, which can’t sign for another 11 months, according to the recruiting web sites that cover Auburn.
A 6-foot, 220-pound bruising back from Prattville HS, Pettway is a 4-star prospect via 247Sports.com.
He was previously committed to Florida State, initially recruited by Auburn wide receivers coach/co-offensive coordinator Dameyune Craig during his time with the Seminoles.
Auburn is set to enter the 2013 season with five tailbacks on the roster: junior-to-be Tre Mason, junior college transfer Cameron Artis-Payne, junior Corey Grant, and incoming freshmen Peyton Barber and Johnathan Ford.
